With the last year seeing even a major music chain like HMV going down the gurgler internationally, supporting your local record store has arguably never been more important.
With this in mind, for the fifth year running, Record Store Day Australia is set to hopefully again pull record crowds into record stores across the nation. To get into the spirit, the organising body (Australian Music Retailers Association) is counting down the 100 days to the 20 April RSDA on their Facebook page.
Each day an album and a clip along with who nominated it will be announced. There’s no hierarchy to the list – it’s more a record of 100 Australians nominating an album to be included and saying why.
