Triple J’s Hottest 100

Closely resembling the ‘Warmest 100’, as created by a couple of tech-savvy musicsticians from Brisbane, Triple j’s Hottest 100 again saw a heavy showing of Australian acts that were voted into the popular music poll.

Flume was the biggest winner, with the most inclusions of any artist (responsible for four entries) and also the highest-ranking Australian artist, his Holdin On coming in at #4. Tame Impala scored two songs in the top 10 with Elephant and Feels Like We Only Go Backwards, and The Rubens also snuck into the top ten with My Gun. Multiple entries were also achieved by Australian acts San Cisco, Matt Corby and The Presets.

Overall, 36 Australian acts accounted for 41 of the tracks, though this was down from last year’s inclusion of 44 Australian songs.
